London Mela
One of Europe's largest South Asian outdoor festivals, the London Mela is an established highlight in the capital's cultural calendar.
It is an artistically-led celebration of Asian culture and creativity inspired by South Asia and its impact on the diaspora.

And with ten zones, six stages and 450 artists spread over 30 acres of Gunnersbury Park on the borders of Ealing and Hounslow, the London Mela offers something for every generation of every community. |

The London Mela is a feast for the senses and brings some of the biggest names in Asian entertainment to west London, as well as commissioning emerging artists and companies to create new work.
To date, the London Mela has successfully commissioned three new pieces of outdoor work, ranging from processional street theatre, a circus and a classical music installation. |

| This year two new works will be presented: Tabla Blah Blah and The Kaleidoscope Project, which are being developed over two years. 2006 will see the works in progress, finishing with a creative presentation in 2007. |
