Car Parking

Parking charges are made at weekends and during large events.
Parking is free for holders of disabled parking scheme permits provided these are displayed in the car.

The North Car Park is nearest to the historic core of the park. Access from St Margaret's Road entrance

The Active Zone Car Park is near to the Horticultural Centre and Bowls Pavilion. Access from St Margaret's Road entrance

The South Car Park is accessed off Sheepfoot Lane. This car park is nearest to the boating lake and Lakeside Café

The Smithy Lodge Car Park is accessed off Middleton Road. This car park is nearest to the park's golf facilities

The Grand Lodge Car Park is accessed at the junction of Sheepfoot Lane and Bury Old Road. This is closed and only opened for major events

Many buses travel to Heaton Park, including 56, 59, 64, 64A, 135, 137, 138, 150, 151, 484, 495.

The nearest Metrolink tram station is Heaton Park, and is situated at a pedestrian entrance to the park.
